The princess was equally as captivating! She was so colorful and friendly and she brought a cart full of fun things! A definite highlight was the special royal crowning ceremony, where she gently placed a sparkling rhinestone tiara on Naya’s head and draped a “Birthday Girl” sash over her shoulders. With her crown in place and a unicorn by her side, Naya was officially the queen of her magical celebration!

The guests then took turns enjoying unicorn pony rides, each one grinning ear to ear as they rode around. Some of the little guests couldn’t get enough and kept running back for more pony rides, excited for another turn with their magical new friend, Tilly.

While many of the children rode the unicorn, others spent time with the princess getting bedazzled as she applied rainbow eye shadow and dazzling face jewels. She spent time with each child and also passed out unicorn headbands, making sure every guest got to feel like part of the unicorn magic. Tilly, my little Unicorn with the deep ocean blue eyes. Tilly, my little Unicorn with the sparkling dainty toes. Tilly, my little Unicorn with the big personality. There’s a reason everyone loves Tilly. She just makes you want to hop into a photoshoot with her…and that’s exactly what I did on this gorgeous Spring day during the San Diego Super Bloom! I was blessed to enjoy this magical experience with my sweet miniature unicorn, posing for photos and laughing and chasing and whispering!

What a dream come true!

It is not every day that one gets to pose for a photoshoot with a unicorn, even when you own one, and I am grateful for the opportunity.

Tilly and I took so many pictures together this beautiful evening and we created so many memories!

The super bloom and it’s vibrant landscape was the perfect backdrop for our photoshoot, an ideal setting to capture the bond between my unicorn and me.

The photoshoot showcased the beauty of the San Diego super bloom and also the extraordinary bond between humans and mythical creatures. It was a moment frozen in time, a celebration of the fantastical merging with reality.

That same evening, I also had the incredible opportunity to model with the amazing little Miss Claire who was having her own enchanting unicorn photo session with Tilly at golden hour.

Claire, a delightful and spirited young soul, brought an unmatched, infectious energy to the shoot, and we had an absolute blast together. Her carefree and untamed spirit added an extra layer of joy to the evening.

We laughed, twirled, and embraced the joy of the moment.

I think we were all grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something so magical. Rainbow Unicorn Birthday Party with Elsa in San Diego

This San Diego Unicorn Pony Party was a magical surprise for the birthday girl, complete with our Rainbow Unicorn and a special appearance from Elsa! The kids and guests were fascinated with the bright colored rainbow unicorn hair and the demeanor of our sweet little Willow! They took repeated walks around the neighborhood riding our unicorn and stopped for many pictures along the way. This San Diego Unicorn Birthday party was already going strong…and then Elsa showed up! What a special moment! We could not have asked for a nicer family to share this day with and the kids were so well behaved and respectful! We had so much fun giving unicorn rides for almost the entire 2 hour party and when we stopped to give Willow the Unicorn her treats, the giggles from the kids filled the air with magic! They loved sharing carrots and grass with Willow after they rode her around the neighborhood and the pictures with Elsa were the most incredible icing on the cake! Even the Moms, Dads, Aunties, Uncles, and Grandparents had so much fun petting Willow and checking out her fantastical rainbow colored hair! This little 4 year old and her friends are sure to believe in magic for years to come! It was a special day, indeed!

The wonder in their eyes!? That’s what we strive for when we deliver a Posh Unicorn Photoshoot in San Diego! When the moment is right to invite the magic in, we work to become one with that moment and capture it! These magical moments from this unique and whimsical San Diego Unicorn photoshoot are some of our favorites! These sweet twin sisters were fascinated and cautious all at once. After all, no one has ever introduced them to a live unicorn before. They approached guarded but curious at first, warming up as the

moments passed. Our little Unicorn Willow was patient and gentle as the photoshoot continued and by the end there were giggles, skips and laughter from all! Each unicorn photoshoot we do has its own special energy and this one was no different. We did the photoshoot at one of our favorite locations, Wrights Field in Alpine, California, just east of San Diego. This place is gorgeous on its own but once we added a unicorn & two beautiful four year old twins dressed in the prettiest purple dresses, the scene became spectacular. Not sure how we got so lucky to have all of these elements come together at once, but we sure are grateful for the magical San Diego Unicorn Photoshoot it became! Hannah, Hannah, Hannah! Isn’t she lovely! Hannah Cases aka Hannah with the Lipstick came out to our Mommy and Me Unicorn photo shoot with her gorgeous little mini me, baby Georgia, and together they lit up the lense!!!! Our Posh Unicorn, Willow connected with them both right away and it made for some magical moments we still just can’t get enough of! From the moment they sat down in front of the bohemian picnic, it was big smiles and fun giggles and so many feel good moments unfolding in front of Brooke Carvers camera that my own smile was from ear to ear.

Luxury Bohemian Picnic in San Diego | A Sweet 16th Birthday in Mission Beach, Ca.

Today, the sun hit just right on Mission Beach and warmed my heart just as it did this beautiful Bohemian picnic. It was a lovely way to celebrate a sweet 16! The sand in the water glistened like diamonds when the sun hit it just right, nature’s gift to the birthday girl. The sounds of the waves crashing, the seagulls squawking, the teenage laughter…there’s nothing quite like it! There are so many blessings found in nature each day and I appreciate them so much. Creating these Bohemian picnics under the setting sun has got to be one of my favorite ways to spend my afternoon! Our beautiful beaches and amazing weather here in San Diego make me feel energized and excited to create the most amazing luxury picnic setups in the sand with classic embellishments to create the ultimate celebrations. I have so much fun building each tailored and customized boho picnic! We love Boho, I love Boho, The Posh Unicorn loves Boho! I adore setting up Luxury Picnics on the beach with that Bohemian flare! It just feels comfy, airy, fresh!! Then you add some sand in your toes and a little wind in your hair and you’ve got yourself a wonderful, carefree, endless summer feel you just can’t get anywhere else!

Maddie’s Unicorn Photo Shoot | San Diego Photography

Posh Unicorns love making dreams come true and creating smiles. Today, Maddie was giddy with happiness as she and Willow, our Posh Unicorn, enjoyed time together during a live Unicorn Photoshoot with our oh-so-loved photographer, Brooke Carver. Both Maddie & Willow were curious and gentle, comfortable and free with each other. It was a sight to see the exploration in Maddie’s eyes and the love for Maddie’s joy on her Mama Georgette’s face as this unicorn photoshoot in San Diego got underway! There really is something incredible & touching that unfolds when a child encounters a live unicorn! At The Posh Unicorn, we feel so blessed to be able to facilitate these magical moments!

Photoshoots like this one, I realized, can often be extra meaningful for families with children with special needs. I learned it can be hard to find an activity, event or special celebration that is reasonable, or even possible, to participate in depending on each given limitation. Will the child be comfortable, safe, in an appropriate environment? Will there be handicapped access and all the logistical requirements necessary? At the Posh Unicorn, we say YES and this shoot was no exception!

We loved figuring out what Maddie would need to make this shoot not only possible, but a fun, safe, pleasant experience! We made sure to accommodate with a big chair and the option to move it. We had blankets and steps, etc, in place to make sure Maddie was comfortable. We made sure her van could be driven right up to the area we had set up for her session. We had props and flowers and things that we weren’t sure Maddie would be able to tolerate so we set our plans in place to be flexible and do whatever it took to deliver a fun, exciting and memorable experience to Maddie and her Mom! It all fell into place so nicely and Maddie was a delight!

Maddie and Georgette’s smiles warmed our hearts this enchanting evening and laughter lifted spirits as these girls sat for their whimsical photoshoot. Surrounded in love and nature, happiness touched our souls.

Charlotte’s Ride-On Unicorn 5th Birthday Party | San Diego, Ca.

This Live Ride-On Unicorn Birthday Party for 5 year old Charlotte was enchanting and magical and sparkly and just so much fun! This wasn’t your standard Pony Party! Willow the Posh Unicorn let Charlotte and her friends ride her, pet her & snuggle her up! There were so many smiles and squeals of excitement! We had great fun walking and talking and answering questions while snapping as many pictures as we could! This was a lively party with lots of people, kids, dogs, fast movement and running around. Willow didn’t flinch. She was so sweet and mellow. She didn’t mind the big pool in the middle of the backyard or all the music and party noise. At one point she saw herself in the reflection of a glass door and stopped to admire the beautiful unicorn! I don’t think she has ever seen her reflection and it was such a sweet moment. The kids continued to take turns riding her and petting her and taking pictures with her. It’s so neat to see how each different child reacts to a live unicorn. Actually, it’s incredible to see how the adults react as well! No two reactions are the same! It’s a unique and special moment for all who encounter her. What a fun day for the birthday girl who turned 5 in beautiful San Diego, Ca.

There’s something about a Unicorn Party…something about the magic it brings to the day. It’s not even just the kids. The adults light up just as much when our majestic unicorn makes her entrance at any party or custom special event. When my childhood friend Joseph and his wife Janelle called us at the Posh Unicorn to do a unicorn party for their 3 girls, we were so excited! They needed rainbows and unicorns and we got to work! This party was a surprise for the kids and let me tell you, it was so much fun to walk into a yard full of kids & families with a rainbow unicorn and hear the ‘oooh’s and ‘ah’s! You can’t really beat that feeling! The childlike happiness that begins to ooze….you just want to bottle it. Once the petting, snuggling and pony rides start, the laughter in the air is like a gust of cool wind on a hot muggy day! It delights you. Their delight, delights you! What a way to spend the day working…..if you can even call it work. This ride-on rainbow unicorn party was nothing short of delightful! So many magical moments happened during this unicorn photoshoot it made my heart sing! The connection that was made in each quiet moment between child and…..Unicorn…..was absolutely enchanting! Under the setting sun, surrounded by the beautiful hazy evening light, we witnessed beauty!

Oh but that beautiful light!
